In March, we headed back to Chicago because both Jane and Karen were doing some serious theater. Jane was in
New Anatomies, the story of
Isabelle Eberhardt, at
20% Theater and Karen was in
The Quiet Man Tales at
The Chicago Theater. We really enjoyed both, and so good to see my theater girls! I always miss them. (And theater.)

Out with Karen after her show |
The morning after the last show, we checked out of our usual hotel, the
Congress Plaza Hotel on Michigan Avenue, just after a crisp snowfall. On the way home, we stopped at the
Chicago Diner, a vegetarian restaurant I have always wanted to visit. So delicious...

The Congress Hotel has had a picket line out front for years now. Are we bad for crossing it? Is this why the beautiful rooms are so reasonably prized? |
